Wendy Woods, Executive Director
Wendy has been an active volunteer with Friends of Rabbits since 2016. As a volunteer, she has sorted veggies, wrangled bunnies, set adoption and bunsitting appointments, and screened potential adopters.
Wendy served on the Board of Directors before taking the position of Executive Director.
She enjoys educating people about life with a bunny.
Professionally, Wendy served as the manager of an international certification board as well as the director of people services for 16 years at an event software company.
Wendy has been married to Craig since 1974, and they have two children and two grandchildren. They have been adopted by one bunny, Crystal, a ruby-eyed white who gives the couple the privilege of serving her.
Kelsey Everett, Operations Manager
Kelsey comes to us with an extensive background of education and work experience. Having a BS in Geography & Environmental Science, and a Graduate Certificate in Wildlife Management she is well equipped to handle animals and their environments. She has several years of experience working for non-profits. Before coming to Friends of Rabbits, she worked for the Chesapeake Conservancy as a Partnership Digital Resources Associate with the National Park Service. She has extensive knowledge in developing websites, maintaining networks, and working in databases. She brings several technical, marketing, photography, interpersonal and organizational skills to her role as Operations Manager. She became a rabbit mom back in 2019. Kelsey began as a FoR volunteer, winning over the staff with her talents, strengths, and reliability.
