Help Rabbits - Please Donate

For over 25 years, Friends of Rabbits has worked tirelessly to rescue neglected and unwanted domestic rabbits. We are a regional leader in rabbit rescue and are 95% volunteer driven. Your tax-deductible donation will help care for and make a life-changing difference for domestic rabbits.

Friends of Rabbits welcomes your donation of any size. As a contributor to Friends of Rabbits we make sure your donation goes directly to supporting our cause. Examples of where your donation will go include the following:

  • $25 pays for enough hay to feed the bunnies under our care for one day

  • $50 buys an exercise pen

  • $100 pays for a one-week supply of pellet litter

  • $150 will pay to spay/neuter a rabbit

  • $250 outfits a new foster home

  • $500 will pay for much needed medicine and medical supplies

  • $1,000 cares for a litter of baby bunnies

  • $2,000 provides lifesaving veterinary care

Thank you for your generosity and making Friends of Rabbits and the animals we serve a part of your life!

Hampshire:

Hampshire is a sweet 3-month-old bunny that was rescued by a kind police officer on New Hampshire Avenue in Montgomery County. She was unfortunately found with a broken leg and had to have a hind leg amputated. The surgery and follow-up care has been costly, but she is worth it! We are kindly asking for your support to help cover her medical expenses and ensure she gets the best possible care. If you are able, please consider donating - every little bit helps! Hampshire is currently under a foster's care but is available for adoption!

Friends of Rabbits currently cares for a number of rabbits that are unfortunately not adoptable due to challenging medical conditions. These rabbits are treatable and can still enjoy comfortable and happy lives under permanent sanctuary care. Given their ongoing medical conditions and costly veterinarian expenses, we greatly appreciate any donations to help us take care of our sanctuary rabbits.

'Snowball' was found outside in December 2024 by a Good Samaritan who quickly noticed something wrong with his eyes. Both of Snowball's eyes are clouded over and bulging outwards. Soon Snowball will be seeing an ophthalmologist who will evaluate his eyes and determine treatment. For now, Snowball is a happy, active young rabbit living in one of our foster homes.
