Hampshire:
Hampshire is a sweet 3-month-old bunny that was rescued by a kind police officer on New Hampshire Avenue in Montgomery County. She was unfortunately found with a broken leg and had to have a hind leg amputated. The surgery and follow-up care has been costly, but she is worth it! We are kindly asking for your support to help cover her medical expenses and ensure she gets the best possible care. If you are able, please consider donating - every little bit helps! Hampshire is currently under a foster's care but is available for adoption!

Betsy:
Betsy came to us over the summer from a hoarding case in Baltimore. When we took Betsy in, she had four newborn babies. Betsy was a great mom to her babies! Recently Betsy started showing signs of hypomotility and a respiratory infection. We took her to our vets to be evaluated and they determined that she needed to be hospitalized. During her hospitalization Betsy started having seizures. She then developed a head tilt and started rolling. These are both classic signs of E. Cuniculi, which is a parasitic infection that most commonly affects the nervous system.
Currently Betsy has severe neurological symptoms and needs around the clock care. She is on many different medications and needs to be hand fed food and water throughout the day. Betsy's veterinary care was costly to the rescue, and we are asking for donations to help fund her care.

Friends of Rabbits currently cares for a number of rabbits that are unfortunately not adoptable due to challenging medical conditions. These rabbits are treatable and can still enjoy comfortable and happy lives under permanent sanctuary care. Given their ongoing medical conditions and costly veterinarian expenses, we greatly appreciate any donations to help us take care of our sanctuary rabbits.

'Snowball' was found outside in December 2024 by a Good Samaritan who quickly noticed something wrong with his eyes. Both of Snowball's eyes are clouded over and bulging outwards.
Snowball was evaluated by an ophthalmologist and diagnosed with glaucoma. He was placed on two new eyedrops to help with the swelling. He will continue to be monitored by the ophthalmologist to ensure the swelling is under control.
For now, Snowball is a happy, active young rabbit living in one of our foster homes!
