Animals may develop medical or behavioral conditions after adoption despite appropriate veterinary care.

Veterinary Care

Friends of Rabbits provides veterinary care while animals remain in our custody.

After adoption, the adopter assumes responsibility for:

● Routine veterinary care

● Emergency veterinary care
● Vaccinations when applicable
● Diet
● Housing
● Daily care

Unless otherwise specified in an adoption agreement, Friends of Rabbits is not financially responsible for veterinary expenses after adoption.

Donations

Donations made to Friends of Rabbits are generally non-refundable unless required by law.

We make every effort to use donations in support of our mission. Unless specifically restricted by the donor and accepted by Friends of Rabbits, donations may be used where they are needed most.

Volunteer Participation

Volunteers participate at their own risk.

Friends of Rabbits is not responsible for injuries, property damage, or losses resulting from volunteer activities except where required by law.

Volunteers are expected to:

● Follow organizational policies.

● Treat animals humanely.
● Maintain confidentiality when appropriate.
● Conduct themselves respectfully toward adopters, fosters, donors, volunteers, staff, and the public.
